- ‘Dark Desire’ hybridizer Tim Hermann Kordes is a fourth generation breeder with W. Kordes’ Sohne. The rose nursery was founded in 1887 in a small town north of Hamburg, Germany called Elmshorn, by 22-year-old Wilhelm Kordes. Wilhelm became a leading rose expert of his time and moved the business to Sparrieshoop, Germany where it remains to this day.
